       The Department of Geological Sciences, Faculty of Science, Chiang Mai University, is Thailand's leading educational institution in earth sciences. The Department is dedicated to generating knowledge in geological sciences and producing highly knowledgeable students in geosciences and gemology to serve society and the nation. In the year 2024, marking the 60th anniversary of its establishment, the Department of Geological Sciences aims to be a high-quality educational and research institute in Geosciences and Gemology at an international standard.
